  you would have had to qualify as an elder previously.

  this would mean the male would have had to have been an elder in his early 20's.

  The Book Study Group - Reminiscing

  any fond memories or funny stories relating to the old book study arrangement?.

  i remember a time when a new sister turned up with very smart jacket and shirt.

  yet she was wearing trousers and when questioned by everyone she said "blimey, i think geoff (her husband) is wearing my skirt!".

  The bookstudy yes..

  Although,,I do remember many ''free conversations" after the study just about anything from A to Z. Even about the ''organization".

  open,,frank conversations.

  Its a no brainer why the Borg put the kibosh to the home bookstudy. Too many smart people potentially developing critical thinking skills.

  And,,,,potential legal problems with having meetings in peoples houses.

  I have some fond memories of the bookstudy group.

  Often,,,,I would say 3 out of 4 times a month the host would have coffee,,cakes & goodies after.

  Theres some nostalgia with the bookstudy group.

  under the theme "help for those who are removed from the congregation" study article 35 in august 2024 wafchtower that deals with the many changes the organization introduced recenly we specifically look into paragraphs 14 and 15 that deal with the way that we now treat disfellowshipped ones, or more accurately removed ones , since this is the new term.

  and see how they still try to micromanage their members down to the finest detail and how still apostates and more accurately active apostates are public enemy number one.

  You look after the Borgs demands first. Negating your own.

  Sure the perks. Dinner invites,, maybe trips to the lake for a couple of nights.

  Remember the sex talks?

  i remember sitting through public talks where the speaker spent the hour discussing in great detail anal sex, masturbation (of yourself and others), sex during menstruation and so on.

  .

  i was a child, looking back now, i realise that they systematically stripped away our childhood innocence, we knew and heard things no 'worldly' child would have heard.. the child abuse and grooming happened to every single one of us, the feelings of guilt and shame was in all of us even if we didn't actually do anything bad, the mental images caused by these filthy men hung around in our innocent minds till there was no room for that innocence.. it has taken me 44 years to realise that what was done to us, even those of us not physically abused, is a crime.. do they still have talks like that nowadays i wonder?

  I think the Borg is wary now of the internet.

  Yes.

  Whatever they say now comes back & bites them on the ass.

  Especially talks & publications dissing evolution,,,I digress a bit,,,,but you know.....

  I think the Borg knows that recording devices are everywhere & within minutes of such ridiculous statements its all over the internet making them look like assses!!

  I dont know if you've heard of a youtuber on Mondays called ''Surviving Paradise".

  The host os Stacy.

  He relates what you talk about. About checking ones' brain & common sense at the door.

  What the Borg offers is truly fantasy. Never dying,, absolute health.....

  But as long as the Borgs demands come first.

  ie) shunning your family,,dying for refusing blood...

  The borgs demands come first. & negating what we have now.
